As we begin the season in just a few weeks (yeah), I wanted to just send out some friendly reminders or notes.

Practice – Fusion tries hard to work with its players that have other sports and commitments. In return we ask that the players and families try to do so as well.
• Late – this should be communicated directly to your coach as far in advance as possible.
• Absent – this should be communicated to the coach as far in advance as possible, so they can plan practice accordingly.
• Make up – The player is responsible for working with their coach on planning a makeup practice with another team. This way their coach can communicate and work with the other coaches on the time being made up while preparing their practice plans.
• As the travel portion of the season begins a player must attend 75% of their team practices. If a player fails to attend their practice or a make up practice to reach the 75%, they will “sit out” the first match of the next tournament.

Fusion apparel – players received one practice shirt at the signing party, they will be receiving another at their first practice. Each team has two practices a week, so they have been given appropriate attire to wear. Players are required to order their team jerseys and apparel from our online team store. Please make these orders ASAP to guarantee all uniforms are receive prior to the tournament season beginning. You can also use the site to order additional team apparel for the player or members of the family. (If you did not receive the link from your team parent, please let me know)
• Coaches and players should ALWAYS wear Fusion apparel to practices.
• If you forget to wear your Fusion shirt you will sit out at practice.

Referee and Scorer clinics – All Junior members will be automatically enrolled in the online Referee and Scorer clinics in the USA Volleyball Learning Management System. To access the clinics, log in to your Sports Engine account, go to Household, choose the member’s profile, and go to the Carolina Regional Volleyball membership section. You can access the LMS from there. Junior members will need to take the Referee and Scorer’s clinic online to become certified. All Fusion players are REQUIRED to take these courses and will be required to score and ref at tournaments throughout the season.
November and December practice calendars can be found on our website under the documents tab. Note, all tournaments have now been added to the website calendar as well. You will be receiving the January through April tournament calendars by the beginning of next week. These will also be added to the document section of the website. Please note, it is possible these could change or be updated if a team is not accepted into an event.

As enrollment into the tournaments has begun, you have already or will begin to receive room blocks for these events from our team parents. Please take note of the cut off dates for these blocks as they become available.
